Description

The Adult Use Overlay District (AUOD) defines the district that is to accomodate Adult Uses within the Town of Dedham, as described by the Town's Zoning By-Laws. The AUOD is established as a district that overlays the underlying districts, so that any parcel of land lying in the AUOD shall also lie in one or more of the other zoning districts in which it was previously classified, as provided for in this Zoning By-Law. Land and buildings in the AUOD may be used for any purpose permitted as of right or by special permit in the underlying district, and all requirements of the underlying zoning district shall remain in full force and effect, except as may be specifically superseded herein. Adult Uses may be permitted in the AUOD upon the granting of a Special Permit by the Board of Appeals, subject to requirements, conditions, and limitations as specified in the Zoning By-Law. Adult Uses are not allowed in the Town, other than in the AUOD.
